We have big plans now... On Monday the 3rd of November come join the party at Notting Hill Arts Club for PLATS and FRIENDS and SCRIBBLE and STOMP big fat night out.

Aah autumn. Responses to the brief have streamed in and we are preparing for the upcoming show. We will post details as soon as we can tell more specifics...

Emily has been doing new work for Mark's and Spencers and you can soon see her big big drawings adorning the walls of M&S megastore in Whitecity in October. Thanks so much to GTF for sharing their lovely studio.

Thanks to ycn who are giving us a feature in their upcoming 0809 book. Very exciting. Emily was also drawing portraits at the launch of ycn live so if you were lucky you got one.

Thanks also to Current TV for a lovely day of filming in a rainy garden in preparation for a PLATS ident that is currently in the editing process. We will let you know when that is finished and viewable. Till then check out their channel it's funded by Al Gore. 'Nough said.

Well it's August and things have been busy busy for all of us. First of all, we would like to say thank you to; Computer Arts for the feature in their latest issue, Amelia's magazine blog for their feature of our work, and Grafik for the illustration and little mention of Emily's work with them at New Designers, in their latest issue.

Our new project is underway and we have lots of lovely submissions, so thank you those of you that have sent us something and we will be in touch shortly.

NEW PROJECT + OPEN SUBMISSIONS: click stuff+things for details.

Laurie's animation film 'International Politics' for Ctrl+Alt+shift and Christian Aid can now be seen on their website and is absolutley brilliant. We implore you to have a peek.

Emily has been working with Grafik and YCN at the New Designers exhibition in Angel, London, drawing people's portraits and trying not to offend them.

Also this month, Sophia and Emily were invited to take part in a Becks Fusion project by YCN. They popped into the office to record their pieces - which can be seen here.

Hello, just to let you know that Nadja Bournonville, Luts-Rainer Muller and Declan Clarke open their show at Pierogi, Leipzig Saturday 12th of July at 18.00. The show runs for a month, and from what we have heard is going to be spectacular and should not be missed!

Work by Nadja can also be seen this summer in group shows at the Pierogi Gallery in Brooklyn, at the Daniel Weinberg gallery in Los Angeles and at the Gabriel Rolt Gallery in Amsterdam.

Leipzig was wonderful. We were all very productive and manic and happy. It's not often that many members of Plats are able to be working together in the same place. Thank you thank you to Anna and LIA for being such lovely hosts. Thank you also to Leif of Pierogi for leading lots of curators to us and for happily lending us many many things.

We now have a Plats Collaborations section on this site, where you can see some of the hundreds of pictures from Plats Leipzig as well as any other projects we work on together.

Ahh summer is here once more. Things are a'rolling here at plats, and we have much excitement brewing. You can look for a little interview from us in Computer Arts magazine soon... and until then we have pretty much been sweating and meeting and developing our show at the LIA in Leipzig. You can see the poster in the stuff and things web log... and it's available as an A3 print, contact us for details.
Also you can see the delightful Katherine Rose's work in the Observer on Sunday - she has just been given 'my favourite outfit' as her regular feature. Well Done Katherine!

First and foremost a few thank you's need to be said to everyone that has joined our Facebook group, we appreciate it very very much. And Emily would like to say a huge thank you to Krista Blake of Hitherto and Poketo for the launch of the Glasgow Series of wallets on the 17th april. Much fun and frolics was had by all, and if you missed out you can see it all here.
We are all still busy getting ready for our exhibition in June but new work from Laurie and Emily has been put up to keep you sated. Meanwhile Emily is currently residing in a placement for YCN and will be doing a little illustration project for them shortly.

Oooh, its March already and we have some exciting news for you lovely people>> we will be having our first group show in Leipzig on June 21st, thanks to LIA. It's going to be PLATS-tastic, so we shall keep you updated here. Please, please, pretty please become a friend of our group on facebook. Do it now and we'll be your BF forever and ever. Ta.

POKETO WALLET LAUNCH! Krista Blake from Hitherto got together artists Emily Robertson/ Becca Davies/ Stuart White/ Marc Baines/ Annabel Wright and Rob Churm to create a Glasgow series of wallets. For info about the amaaazing launch click here.

January/February 08
Emily has been invited by El Bosque, a new editorial company in Latin America, to submit illustrations for two new books they are publishing. You can see some examples in her commission portfolio.

Pierogi is taking Nadja as one of their artists to exhibit at Rotterdam Artfair 7-10 Feb and if you are then go say hello at stand 18.

//HAPPY PLATS NEW YEAR//
Welcome to another new year. We hope you all had a merry festive time. For one reason or another we haven't updated the site in a while but here now for your delectation is new work and a brief run down on what has been happening:

1//Sophia has been very busy in New York and has new commissioned work for Match Fine Print, illustrations for adult fiction 'Mushroom Caves' and Luke Warren's children's book 'The What If..'. She has also been chosen to be represented by VIGLIANO ASSOCIATES in N.Y!
2//A very very big (and long awaited) HELLO to Katherine, who has now joined us all. She has recently moved to London and is working for the Observer as a photography intern. We are very excited about having her and her beautiful work.
3//Nadja has just moved back to Germany and is part of LIA - the Leipzig International Artist in residency programme - for nine months. more news/work from this wonderful lady soon.
4//Emily has been procrastinating for a while but up now is new work she has been beavering away on, illustrations for the beautifully designed bearded magazine, re-useable bags for hitherto, plain surface to name but a few to get your peepers round.

Hurray for Laurie and Joel who finally finished the new 'Small Town Girl' video for Good Shoes after many sleepless nights rendering.
Nadja is showing work in 'Bare Words' - curated by Leif Magne Tangen at the Lautom Contemporary, Oslo, Norway from 20th Oct.
Laurie is scribbling away for Good Shoes, who have commissioned him to make some animations for their new video 'Small Town Girl'and they are looking mighty fine.
Sophia has been busy hanging her drawing shop in Soho, N.Y, as part of her work on R.A.D.A.R projects with Nadfly. The work is based on the antiquated products crammed into the K+K shop in Fife. So if you are in the area keep your peepers peeled.

Sophia is currently working on a R.A.D.A.R project for Nicola Atkinson Davidson's for Fife, collaborating with Vernacular Press in N.Y and also starting work on a website for Artlink, Edinburgh called 'Odd Things', all while looking for a flat in the Big Apple...
